The Context
Coin of Abdullah Qutb Shah (1626-72), 7th King of Qutb Shahi, issued a Copper coin. On the obverse side has legend written ‘Qutama Bilkhar-e-Vassadath’ transliterated as ‘has come to an end well and auspiciously.’ It signifying the decline of the Qutb Shahi kingdom. The reverse side of the coin bears the inscription ‘Zuriba Darus-Saltanat Hyderabad’, indicating the striking of the coin in the realm of Hyderabad.
