The Context
The Satavahana King Gautamiputra Satakarni appears to be powerful ruler. He issued silver coin with hill type: the hill has assumed great prominence and royal symbol. It was chosen mainly for counter striking the silver coins of the sakas.
Coin bears legend on both the side bilingual and indigenous language. Obverse is Chaitya of three arches with wavy line below with and without crescent, Reverse is X ujjain symbol, this was mostly found in coastal Andhra. Well preserved coin.
