The Context
The Pallavas were one of the strongest dynasties in South. They were great builders of monuments, however the issued coins had very limited symbols.
The obverse showcases ship and sacred lamp on the reverse, the other symbols of Pallava coin shows the bull combined with kumbha, chakra, trisula, and horse. The coin is with crude edges and yellowish patination.
