In the Mesolithic period, a significant technological advancement was the creation of parallel-sided blades. There was a noticeable trend towards the production of smaller tools, known as microliths, likely driven by adaptations to environmental changes.
A piece of Microlith blade made of quartz from Godavarikhani. The microlithic piece features flaking towards its upward sharp edges. Its typical shape, known as a simple blade, dates back to the Mesolithic period. It is characterized by its very long and thin bladelet form.
