In the Mesolithic period, a significant technological advancement was the creation of various blades. There was a noticeable trend towards the production of smaller tools, known as microliths, likely driven by adaptations to environmental changes.
A piece of Microlith is typically distinguished as ‘End flake’ with its sharp edges, and flakes present on both surfaces. It is made up of Chalcedony. It is a flake tool with its flaking visible on one side. This is demonstrated by weathering on the periphery of the artefact, indicating that the original blank was also weathered.
