A hand axe is the earliest and longest-used ‘designed’ tool in human history, emerging in the archaeological record. The hand axe is generally a core tool. It is roughly triangular in shape, broad at one end and pointed at the other.
This artefact is a quartzite stone tool, named for its unifacially retouched. It suggests the Neolithic tradition in Hyderabad. This was found while exploring the area of BNR Hills, Hyderabad, Telangana.
