The Deccan Trap region is known for chalcedony, with agate being a prominent variety often used in the making of microliths. This particular flake tool was discovered during an exploration at Ujjili, in Makthal mandal of Narayanpet district, Telangana.
This is a flake tool of translucent chalcedony with flaking clearly visible on one side. The microlith is crafted from a cryptocrystalline silica mineral, such as Quartz.
