In the Mesolithic period, a significant technological advancement was the creation of parallel-sided blades. There was a noticeable trend towards the production of smaller tools, known as microliths, likely driven by adaptations to environmental changes.
Black chalcedony stone is used to create a piece of Microlith and points flake towards sharp, downward edges. Microliths are produced from either a small blade (microblade) or a larger blade-like piece of flint by abrupt or truncated retouching.
