A noteworthy portrayal of the goddess Bhadrakali, this stone figurine depicts her in a powerful squatting posture. The well-preserved left hands along with the damaru held aloft in the upper hand serve as iconographic attributes of the deity. Attired in celestial garb and adorned with an elaborate coiffure and necklace, the figure embodies both divine beauty and strength. Reverse surface is plain, while the unique leafy pentagonal form hints at potential esoteric significance.
Remarks: The presence of red coloration, possibly sindoor, and subtle abrasions speak to the figurine’s age and history as an object of veneration.
