A Deccani miniature depicts a Nawab and his beloved, accompanied by attendants, enjoying a scene of music and dance.
The Nawab family, adorned in gold attire, sits regally on a choury couch, while attendants stand behind them. Dancers and musicians entertain them in the foreground. Lush green foliage and a two-story palace create the backdrop, showcasing the aristocratic lifestyle of the 16th or 17th century. Persian style outline and extensive use of gold with local colors like Brick red, Mauve, White etc highlight the Golconda School of art.
