This Deccani miniature renders a Nawab and his beloved enjoying music and dance with their attendants.
The Nawab family, in gold attire, sits regally on a choury couch, while dancers and musicians entertain them in the foreground with lush green foliage palace. In the background aristocratic lifestyle of the time can be seen. Persian style outline and extensive use of gold with local colors epitomise the Golconda School of art.
