Findings

A rare sculpture featuring 1,000 nagas on a single slab was discovered in a broken state. The visible portion, measuring 2′ x 6′, showcases 624 intricately carved serpents, with the remaining 576 presumed lost in the missing fragment.

Appealed to the locals to safeguard the sculpture and requested the officials of the tourism department to operate a Naga Tourist Circuit connecting the Durga Nageswara temple, Pedakallepalli and Subbarayudu temple at Mopidevi in Krishna district to that of the 1,000 Nagas sculpture at Velpuru.
