A 1518 CE inscription of Emperor Sri Krishnadevaraya was found issued by General Rayasam Kondamarusayya. It records a well dug for his mother, Sangoyamma. Once part of Venugopala Swamy temple, the slab now faces risk from heavy traffic.
Cleaned the inscription, deciphered the Telugu script and emphasized the need for its preservation. Appealed to the Dept. of Archaeology and Museums to protect it.
