A rare miniature portrays a powerful Yogini presiding over a vibrant vista, as nobles and soldiers approach her with reverence. The composition stands out from typical Deccan art because of its subject matter.
A Yogini reigns over the scene on a tiger skin beneath a tree swing. She is being observed quietly by a saint and a lady. Clad in Deccani-style jamas, adorned with turbans and carrying weapons, nobles and soldiers make their way to the Yogini. There is an element of serenity to the painting because of the river in the background.
