Context
A courtly scene featuring Nizam Ali Khan(1724 – 1948) captures the grandeur of the Asaf Jahi era.
Description
The Nizam sits regally on a golden chair, adorned in white Jama with a golden belt and a sword. We see several nobles surround him, some seated in front and behind on the same floor, others standing behind a gallery fence. Urdu and Persian script identify the figures.
