Handaxes are the earliest and longest-used ‘designed’ tool in human history, emerging in the archaeological record. Handaxe is generally a core tool.
This particular handaxe is a biface, it’s useful on both sides. It is roughly triangular in shape, broad at one end and pointed at the other. It’s made up of quartzite and were might used cutting wood and killing animals for food. This was found while exploring the area at Bellampalli in Telangana.
