The Context
Handaxes are the earliest and longest-used ‘designed’ tool in human history, emerging in the archaeological record. This artifact is quartzite stone tool, named for its unifacially retouched. It suggest the Palaeolithic tradition in Hyderabad. Handaxe is generally a core tool. It is roughly triangular in shape, broad at one end and pointed at the other. This was found while exploring the area BNR Hills, Hyderabad, Telangana.
