Highlighting Heritage : From 36 Forts to 300 Archaeological Sites
As a native of Chhattisgarh, a state aptly named “36 forts” and steeped in history, I was drawn to the PLEACH India Foundation in Hyderabad. What sets our organisation apart is our unique focus on preserving lesser-known historical and archaeological sites, folk traditions, and living cultural heritage, rather than just famous monuments.
Having documented over 300 archaeological sites from across India, our organisation has inspired me to contribute more heritage knowledge from my home state. I am proud to help highlight Chhattisgarh’s rich treasures, ensuring that its temples, rituals, and art gain their deserved recognition.
PLEACH is truly a beacon of hope for India’s heritage, fostering an inclusive approach that empowers local communities and makes history accessible for future generations. I am incredibly grateful to be part of this vital mission.
