Findings

The early medieval Vardhmana Mahavir Jain idol is lying in utter neglect on the outskirts of Nayakallu village. While doing the survey, the team came across the 24th Jain Tirthankar Vardhman sculpture carved out of black basalt stone.

Findings

An Iron Age menhir datable to 1500 BCE was found lying next to river Dindi. The menhir is just 100 ft away from the road and lies in utter neglect in the agricultural fields, measuring 8 ft in height, 2.5 ft in width & 1.5 ft in thickness.
