Spotted 100 huge menhirs of the megalithic period
The stone structures are called 'menhirs' and places like these are termed 'avenues' in archeological parlance. The menhirs varied in shape and size measuring 3 to 4 feet at the base and 6 to 10 feet in height above the ground and 4 to 5 feet deep buried in the ground and having a thickness of 9" to 18".
Call to Action
Sensitized the local people on the archeological significance of the monuments, and also appealed to the state and central governments to initiate action to declare the site as protected and safeguard the monuments for posterity.
