- Description: The Gopura of the Tirumala Temple, constructed mainly of granite stone, embodies the distinctive Vijayanagara architectural style. An inscription from 1433 CE found on the temple’s outer wall mentions an agreement between the treasury of Sri Venkateswara Temple and the residents of Siddhankkuttai Village, identifying the Gopura and surrounding structures as part of a sacrificial temple (Yagasala) in Siddhank Kottai Village.
