Raag Putra-Deshakha

The painting composed in a circular form  depicts an acrobatic performance against a maroon background. 

A representation of Raga-putra Deshakha, one of the main Ragas recognised as a Deccani style. Deshakha is represented as acrobats, one holding and stretching the Bow, another practising the pole, two wrestlers are shown etc. Weights, clubs, and a spherical shot put are all available. The sky is painted first, followed by green as a field, with a border.

Preserving this exquisite artistic legacy necessitates conservation efforts, particularly due to damage evident in the background and corners of the painting.
