This miniature depicts Bhairavi (spouse of Bhairava), the personification of a musical mode (ragini) named after Bhairava, the lord of music. She stands centrally, adorned in a red saree and pearl necklace, holding a diya (oil lamp). A devoted figure kneels at her feet. The background showcases a temple setting with a Shiva Linga, bell, arches, trees, and an orange flag. A fountain graces a nearby garden area.
Preserving this combination of devotion to Shiva, disciple, architectural elements, and the colour scheme of each object in the painting to emphasise the importance of all.
