Rediscovering Storytelling Through Heritage

As a filmmaker at heart, storytelling has always been my passion. But joining the Pleach India Foundation transformed that passion into something deeper—a rediscovery of history and heritage as the richest sources of stories. Every day here is a lesson, an adventure into ideas and narratives from our past, evident through the heritage that surrounds us.

As the voice behind Pleach’s social media team, my work has blended creativity and research. One of my most fulfilling projects was creating reels and posts for 25 UNESCO World Heritage Sites. From gathering footage to designing motion graphics, each piece demanded an in-depth exploration of the sites’ lores and stories… It has completely transformed how I view monuments—not as static relics but as vibrant storytellers of art, culture, and resilience.

Beyond UNESCO sites, my creative instincts were challenged and nurtured through contemporary projects that connect heritage with trending themes. Whether linking Spider-Man to cultural symbolism, Temple architectural elements like ceilings, pillars and door frames, or exploring anime-inspired heritage and weaving stories for festivals like Dasara or Pongal, these projects kept my creativity alive. Every idea was an opportunity to see history through fresh eyes.

Traveling has always been my fascination and visits like Mysore, Goa, Delhi, Kedarnath, Pondicherry and Alampur have evolved from simple trips to profound experiences, with my time in Pleach. Understanding the symbolism, motifs and myths behind the architecture and culture has deepened my connection to these sites. Heritage now feels like a living entity—an intangible yet powerful force that shapes who we are.

Since joining Pleach, our profile has grown to 1,000+ followers with over 150 posts. But numbers are only part of the story. The real transformation lies in how my understanding of history, culture, and storytelling has evolved. Every post, reel, and design I create is now imbued with the wisdom of the past, connecting it meaningfully to the present.
